Scope: 40 h lecture time within 2 weeks (in presence), 4 hours daily 

Additionally: homework and preparation time for the exam: 40-60 hrs

Contents:

• Introduction to MATLAB
• Operations for matrices in Matlab: sum and difference of matrices; product of matrices; determinant of matrix; finding the inverse of a matrix.
• Operations for vectors in Matlab: magnitude of a vector, unit vector; dot, cross and triple products.
• Differentiation in Matlab: finding derivatives using symbolic Math Toolbox, finding maximum, minimum and inflection points.
• Integration in Matlab: symbolic integration for indefinite integrals, definite integration.
• Solving differential equations in Matlab: first order differential equations, first order differential equations with initial conditions, second order differential equations, second order differential equations with two initial conditions
